These terms apply when you use data.intelligent.co.za, which is operated by Intelligent Data PVT LTD (“we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What this site offers
The site lets you view statistics and preview research data sets. Some data sets and documents are offered for sale. We also offer data collection, analysis and reporting services, which may be covered by a separate agreement.
Using the site
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights
- disrupt or damage the site, or try to gain unauthorised access to it
- copy or scrape the site at scale without our written permission
- try to identify any person from a data set
Using statistics and previews
You may view, quote and share statistics and previews for non-commercial and research purposes if you credit Intelligent Data and the source shown. Each page’s notes explain how the data was produced and any limits on how it should be used. Please read them before relying on the data.
Buying data
Prices are shown in South African rand. A purchase gives you a licence to use the data. It does not transfer ownership. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, you may use purchased data for your own research, study, analysis or internal work. You may publish findings if you cite the data set as shown on its page. You may not resell, redistribute or publish the data file itself, or try to identify any person in it.
Payments are processed by Paystack, our third-party payment gateway, and we do not store your full card details. Data files are delivered electronically after payment is confirmed. All sales are final and we do not offer refunds, except where the law requires it. Please check the preview and details on each page before you buy.
Selling or contributing data
If you offer us data, you confirm that:
- you have the right to share and sell it
- participants gave any consent that was required
- it does not identify any person, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing
- the details you give us are accurate
We may decline any data set. A separate written agreement will set out the commission and payment terms before we list your data.
Intellectual property
The site’s content, design and branding belong to us or our licensors. Source data may belong to third parties and may be subject to their own terms.
Accuracy and limits of the data
We take care in preparing our data and reports, but we provide the site and its data as they are. We do not promise that they are complete, current or suitable for a particular purpose. Check any data before relying on it for an important decision.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or data. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot lawfully be limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
